Happy First Birthday Malak

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL January 26, 2015 5:20am I cannot believe it has already been a year and what a beautiful year it has been. This year has been challenging, rewarding, and so new. I have been taking care of my own baby watching her grow this past year and being with her through her first words, first tooth, babbles, and now her first birthday. I love you so much baby girl and I know you will always make me proud! For Malak's birthday party I invited my family over and my best friend, just a small, tight-knit group. I decided to make it a Minnie Mouse theme since I was in love with Mickey as a child and thought it would work! Everything is pink and oh so lovely :) The morning of we had her cake smash photo session. Balancing A Baby and Everyday Life

Becoming a first time mom helped open my eyes to all the things that need to be done that I did not have to worry about before. Being a mom on its own is a full time job but trying to balance work comes at extra. As a recent university graduate it has become hard to gain experience and try to network with a baby running around but at the same time the first year of your child's life is crucial to how they develop basic skills that will impact the rest of their lives. It's important to get all the help that you can! Confide in someone you trust like close friends or family it's okay to take a few hours for yourself whether it be to run errands, attend a networking event, volunteering, or just to be with yourself. Try to spend as much time as you can with your baby in the first year these milestones are crucial to development and whether you think so or not work will wait. There is always daycare if you are insistent to head back to work but you don't want to any m
