Nestle Sample Box

Yesterday I received my Nestle Sample Box that I signed up for a few months ago! When you go to sign up on their website to receive it they ask you some information about yourself like your name, email, contact, and your due date for baby. When the time comes closer to you due that is when they send you the sample box. It comes in a cute little box.

Just click on the link, scroll to the bottom, and press join now! https://www.nestlebaby.ca/en#

Inside the box is a four pack bottle of Nestle Good Start formula milk and a bottle top.

A Huggies diaper. It's so small it's adorable! I forgot how small newborn diapers were.

A book about baby feeding guide and some coupon booklets!

I found the sample box very generous and can ease some of the financial burden of buying formula by giving a few days supply. Although I am choosing to breastfeed it's always good to have formula ready on hand until you have a steady milk supply or if the breast pain is too much to handle at the beginning, since I've had that struggle before. The coupons also help with the expenses as well!

Thank you Nestle for the generous sample package, baby and I appreciate it!

Ramadan 2020: Preparations and Resources

Just under a month to go for Ramadan 2020! This year I have put together a nice '30 Days of Kindness' Calendar for Ramadan for children with the help of parents/guardians to follow earn some good deeds this Ramadan. Please feel free to pull and print off and if you would like an emailed PDF version just contact me and I would be more than happy to send it. I printed many copies and will be delivering to friends and family with children that I think would like to do this.   In the past I have tried to do a more festive Ramadan month to put some Barakah back into the month and have it be a joyous occasion for all. It is especially important for children because it helps instill that love of the month for them from a young age. Especially growing up and seeing the temptations of other Holidays and wondering why we don't do anything fun for Ramadan or Eid? Simple decorations and preparations like hanging some lights up across the window, lanterns placed around the...

Toys for Toddlers

Toys can be a crucial part of a toddlers development of the brain and the senses. My daughter recently turned a year old and loves to play and explore everything around her. Books can be a great way to stimulate the mind, my daughter often brings books from her playroom and gives them to me to read to her. Pointing to the words as you read will help them follow along I've caught my girl pretending to read a few times and pointing as she babbles. Monkey see, monkey do 🙈. I love when she picks up on things that I do and it helps you see that your little one is on the right track.                                          Boxes that helps babies identify and experiment with different shapes and colours helps children as well. It builds problem solving skills, allows them to explore, and concentrate on the task at hand. The red toy with the shapes has an outline of the blocks in the...

Reflecting on 2020

2020 has been a hard year on so many ways but the year also offered me many blessings.  I opened up the year with my daughter Malak's 5th unicorn themed birthday. Fares' Mario themed 1st birthday followed in February. I hope my babies have an amazing year ahead and lots of happiness and success in all that they do. One of my favourite things about my blog is reflecting back on it over the years and seeing the posts about the kids growing up. Before I returned to work from my maternity leave I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and what I had been conditioned to think to apply for a new job at another Neighbourhood Resource Centre. Although the job I initially applied for I did not get, I was super happy with the opportunity I was presented with. It was time for a change. At my new job I cannot believe what a drastic change I saw in myself. I was speaking my mind, offering my advice, giving my opinions and felt completely comfortable with myself speaking. Where had this pers...
