Introduction to New Mommy Life

I have finally decided to start a Mommy blog about my experiences as a first time mom. I will start off with an introduction about my baby and I. I got married on September 29, 2013 to the man of my dreams. We are currently living at home with my parents with the intention of buying a house. Those plans did not work out for us we decided to go out and rent next month. Originally I did not want to have kids for a while and was opposed  to the whole idea. After I got married I started seeing cute kids everywhere and I started falling in love with the thought of having my own kids. I was working at the mall in Bentley Leathers at the time. That's when nagging my husband began and eventually he said yes. Having a kid all to yourself to love, play, and care for was all that occupied my thinking and I could not wait to have a baby.

My baby's name is Malak Mohamad Merai and she is now 5 months old. She was born on January 26, 2015 at 5:20am. She is the love of my life and I can not even remember how life was like before her. Although more sleep would be nice every once and a while. Just today she woke up at 6:00 then again at 8:30 then at 10:00, that's when I got up with her to play. Overall she is a very good baby just keep her tummy full and play with her. She sleeps well at night but is usually up at 8:30. She likes other people (opposite of myself as a baby). Malak loves water! Every once and a while we take her swimming and she loves it! Bath time is favourite time. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us.

Of course no one is perfect so all I am here to do is share my experiences with the hopes of helping others. Hope everyone enjoys and feel free to comment possible topic ideas. Thank you!

International Women's Day 2019

Happy International Women's Day to all the strong, hard working women all over the world fighting to be heard. Think about women everywhere today; the ones who fight every day for basic rights, the ones who die just for a chance to be heard, about the everyday woman struggling to balance work and family and often neglecting her own self-care. Think about your mother. The strong woman who has raised you, put food in your belly, and smiled through her own hurt and pain so you never have to see that inside she is crying. Women of all shapes, colours, sizes, eras are just so amazing. Today's blog post is dedicated to a very special little girl in my life and that is my daughter Malak. I know in my heart that she will grow up to be a strong, confident, and intelligent woman who will make her whole family proud. I'm watching you right now playing on your iPad and sucking on that lollipop (note to self: get Malak to brush her teeth later) and I can see all the wonderful potentia...

Trip to Sweden: Landskrona and Höganäs

It has been a while fellow bloggers since I just got back from my month long trip to Sweden! I shall be writing all about it in the next few blog post entries. My husband has three brothers who all live in Sweden and we were far overdue for a vacation anyways. Mind you this is the first time traveling with my husband in a plane and first time with kids of my own. I will be writing a post of traveling with kids on its own. Our flight was a direct flight from the Toronto airport to Copenhagen, Denmark. We were told it is faster to take a train from the airport in Copenhagen to Malmo then taking a plane to Stockholm, Sweden which would be at least a 6 hour drive from where my husband's brothers live! We arrived at around 10:20am. Upon our arrival to the airport we picked up our bags, bought a ticket for the train, and jumped on the train. Booking and board the train took the most time for us. The train took less than 15 minutes from where we were to get us to our first stop which wa...

The Shatha Show

I am helping my sister Shatha with her new YouTube channel called The Shatha Show. The videos star Shatha opening surprises, reviewing products, or just having fun in her day. We would appreciate thumbs up on the videos and some subscriptions. The Shatha Show They are kid-friendly videos appropriate for all ages. Shatha and my daughter Malak both are guilty for watching kids open surprises on YouTube so we thought it would be fun for Shatha to do her own videos. We are open to suggestions and would love to see some interactions on Shatha's channel. Stay tuned for more videos! Our goal is for once a week but we will see how that works out for us :) Thanks all!
